7. Discount Codes

Discount codes are promotional codes that customers enter at checkout. When a code is linked to an affiliate, Leaper Dev attributes the resulting sale to that affiliate — even if the customer did not click a referral link.
7.1 Discount Codes List View
The list displays all existing codes with the following columns: Code, Type, Value, Min Order, Affiliate, Usage, Expires, and Status. When no codes have been created yet, a placeholder message is shown.
7.2 Creating a Discount Code
- Click Add Discount Code.
- Complete the form in the dialog:
- Code (required) — The code customers enter at checkout (e.g.,
SUMMER20). Use uppercase letters and numbers for clarity. - Type (required) — Select Percentage (%) to apply a percentage discount, or Fixed ($) to deduct a fixed dollar amount.
- Value (required) — The numeric discount value (e.g.,
20for 20% off, or10for $10 off). - Min Order ($) (optional) — The minimum order subtotal required for the code to apply. Defaults to $0 (no minimum).
- Max Uses (optional) — The maximum number of redemptions allowed. Leave blank for unlimited uses.
- Expires At (optional) — Set a specific date and time after which the code becomes invalid.
- Link to Affiliate (optional) — Assign this code to a specific affiliate. Orders placed with this code are then attributed to the selected affiliate. Affiliates are listed by name and referral code.
- Description (optional) — An internal note for your team's reference (not visible to customers).

- Click Create to save and activate the discount code.
Example scenario: A brand manager creates the code
INFLUENCER10with a 10% percentage discount and links it to an influencer affiliate. The influencer shares the code on social media. Every purchase usingINFLUENCER10is automatically attributed to that affiliate for commission purposes, even if the customer never clicked the influencer's referral link.
